Fabric reinforced Piston Cups are commonly used in applications with pressures reaching up to 1000 PSI or in applications where a larger extrusion gaps are present. MFP Seals also produced a line of double acting piston cups (PCD Piston Cups) that replace multi-part assemblies. Homogeneous rubber is bonded to a metal disc, only one part is required – the most practical piston cup available.

These are designed for pneumatic or low pressure hydraulic applications. Iron piston rings are available for reciprocating or rotary applications.
